Navigo Yolcu Explicit Consent Notice

Version: 1 November 2026

This notice asks for explicit consent for two separate, optional searches. Giving one does not turn on the other. Consent is not a condition of any service: without it your account, routes, stops, live vehicle tracking, “I’m waiting” and notifications work exactly the same. You can withdraw consent at any time. How your data is processed in general is described in the Privacy Notice (KVKK). The Turkish version prevails.

1. What you consent to

If Navigo’s own search cannot find a route to your destination or the place you are looking for, the app can run two extra searches:

  • AI route search: the app uses an AI model with Navigo’s route and stop data to find a suitable trip, including transfers.
  • Google place search: if the place is not in Navigo’s address database, it is searched on Google.

2. Data sent

The location Navigo received from you, and the place text, are sent to Google or OpenAI only as data, without any notice that they belong to you. The other side is not told whose data it is.

  • the place name or the text that was typed,
  • the location received and, if any, the destination coordinates,
  • for the AI search, Navigo’s route and stop information used for the match.

Name, phone number, email and account number are not included in this transmission. The request leaves from Navigo’s server.

3. Recipients and country

  • OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) — AI route search.
  • Google LLC (United States) — Google Places search.

Under KVKK Art. 9/6-a this is an occasional transfer tied to a search you start, based on your explicit consent. Your identity is not sent. What is sent is the location and place text, without any notice that they belong to you; Google and OpenAI do not process this data as tied to a person. The United States has no adequacy decision from the Board. That notice is about the coordinates and place text that are sent; the recipient is not told whose data it is.

4. Purpose and retention

The data sent is used only to match a route or a place for that search. The two consents do not turn each other on: consent for Google does not send data to OpenAI, and consent for OpenAI does not send data to Google. Navigo keeps the search result and your daily AI search count for up to 30 days. The same search’s location, destination, place name and internal account number are kept for 30 days only in Navigo’s monitoring log in Türkiye. Your name, phone number and email are not written in that log. That log and your account number do not leave the country. What OpenAI may keep is the unidentified coordinates and place text it received; under its own policy that can remain for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and is not used to train models. Google receives the same unidentified place query; nothing in it ties the query to a person.

5. Giving and withdrawing consent

  • You give consent by ticking one or both optional boxes at sign-up. The boxes are separate.
  • If no place is found, tapping “I agree” on the Google question turns on only Google search.
  • If no route is found, tapping “I agree” on the AI question turns on only the OpenAI search.
  • To withdraw, switch off AI search or Google search on the Profile screen, or email info@navigo.com.tr.
  • Withdrawal takes effect for the future; from then on only the search you switched off is not run.

6. Consent statement

“When no route is found, having read this notice and of my own free will, I give explicit consent for the location Navigo received from me, and the place text, to be sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. in the United States only as data, without any notice that they belong to me. I know that the United States has no adequacy decision.”

“When no place is found, having read this notice and of my own free will, I give explicit consent for the location Navigo received from me, and the place text, to be sent to Google LLC in the United States only as data, without any notice that they belong to me. I know that the United States has no adequacy decision.”
